Haver is the Board chair of The Equity Project. After 20 years
advocating and organizing for low-income people, he founded Phoenix
Foods, an urban tilapia and basil farm (and an Equitable Business).
Jacob Gray is the project’s director.
He is a nonprofit developer and administrator who recently helped
raise a $15 million venture capital fund, the nation’s first
fund dedicated to building Equitable Businesses.
The Equity Project is part of a nonprofit
incubator at Resources for Human Development (RHD), a $100 million
nonprofit umbrella organization. RHD also provides in-kind space
and back-office support.
